Gordon Rideout - 74 years of Newtown passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay. Predeceased by his wife Olive; parents Alfreda and Chesley Rideout; brother-in-law Gerald Burry. Left with fond and loving memories are his sons Gord(Anne) of Brampton, ON., Terry(Norma Lynn) of Newtown and Fred(Cathy) of Newtown; brothers Lindburgh(Elizabeth) of Newtown; sisters Rita Burry of Valleyfield and Alice Norman(Jim) of Long Harbour; sister-in-law Kate Howell(Leonard) of Newtown; brother-in-law Eli Gill(Olive) of Newtown; grandchildren Samantha, Kassandra, Marissa, Kyle, Brady, Cameron, Nikita, Cody, Terrence and Joey; great-grandchildren Thomas and Bella; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 11 A.M. from Trinity United Church, Newtown with Rev. Lorne Bungay officiating. Interment will follow from Trinity United Church Cemetery, Newtown. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted.
