Willis Andrew
Morgan
December 26, 1938 – January 26, 2026
It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Willis Andrew Morgan, beloved husband, father, father-in-law, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Willis passed peacefully away January 26, 2026 with his son Clifton and his family by his side.
Predeceased by his parents Edward and Effie Morgan; parents in-law Maxwell and Tryphena Coles; brother in-law Calvin Coles; sisters in-law Joyce, Josephine and Maisie.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Shirley; son Clifton (Cathy) of Mt. Pearl; grandson Carter who was his pride and joy, brother Roland Morgan (Belenda) of Carmanville; sister Daphene Pennell (Bruce) of Noggin Cove; brother-in-law Raymond (Wilma); sister-in-law Rita; nieces, nephews and a large circle of other relatives and many friends.
Willis married Shirley Coles on June 6, 1962 and together they had one son Clifton whom he was so very proud of. He was a dedicated family man and a very hard worker. Willis, well known throughout the trucking industry from St. John's to Port Aux Basques, was affectionately known by some of his trucking friends as Relic. Though life threw many curve balls at Willis, starting with an automobile accident in the 70's that resulted in 8 hip replacements over the years, and most recently being diagnosed with cancer, he was never one to complain and nor did he let it stop him from what he loved doing the most: driving, playing darts, and spending time in the woods. He will be fondly remembered by all that knew him as a great story teller and a man whose quick wit and humour brought laughter to everyone.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all that have provided help over the past couple years and especially the past little while. Though there are too many to mention, know that no act of kindness went unnoticed by Willis nor by us, his family.
We would like to say a special thank you to Kingsway Living Retirement Home and Palliative Care unit at North Haven Manor for their great care and kindness.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Musgrave Harbour from 1 -2 p.m. (Family) & 2 - 4 p.m. (Public).
At families request cremation will take place and a service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations in Willis' memory may be made to The Shriners Hospital for Children
