It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL, William Augustus Cutler age 93 years of Wareham, NL.

William was born on Fair Island and moved to Wareham as a child with his parents Robert and Tamar. As a young man he worked in the woods with Bowaters and had his own Taxi business. But most of his life was spent working has a carpenter here and around the province. He was a faithful man to his church and in his younger days he was there to do anything that was needed.

William was married to his bride Louise for 73 years. Together they raised 3 children Gus, Maxine and Velma (Derrick). He was a proud grandfather to Darrell (Penny), Darlene (Jason), Theresa (Dylan) and DJ. He was also a proud great grandfather to Devon (Michelle), Alex and William.

Also leaving to mourn is his sister Susan (Claude); brothers Cliff (Audrey) and Lem; sister in-law to Ellen.

He is predeceased by his infant son David; son in-law Ernest; brother Clayton; sister Mary.

In the summer he could be found sitting outside on the bridge enjoying the view and watching everything going on around him. William was loved and respected by many people. He was blessed with a long happy life and will be missed by his family and friends.

Resting at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Wareham with visitation on Thursday, July 3, 2024 at 1 P.M. - 2 P.M. for Family Only, 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. & 7 P.M. - 9 P.M.  for Public.

Funeral service will take place on Friday, July 4, 2025 at 2 P.M. at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Wareham with Rev. Maxine Abbott officiating. Interment will follow at the Old St. John the Baptist Anglican Cemetery, Wareham, NL

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in his memory to The Cutler family, they will decide at a later date on monetary disbursements.
