It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loved one at his residence on Saturday, October 1, 2022 Walter Ralph Goodyear Jr. age 72 years of Lumsden.

Predeceased by his beloved son Dwayne; parents Walter and Flossie Goodyear; brother Samuel Goodyear; brother-in-law Edgar Whalen; parents-in-law Gladstone and Audrey Best.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is his wife Linda of 50 years; beloved daughter Carol (Mike) of Gander; step-granddaughter Carly (Jared) of Gander; sister Millie Whalen of Lumsden; sisters-in-law Betty Goodyear, Shirley Davis (Roy) and Lisa Barbour (Michael); brothers-in-law Raymond Best (Brenda), Keith Best (Kathy) and Rodney Best (Goldie); life long friend and employee Melvin Goodyear of Deadman's Bay; several nieces, nephews and a large circle of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 7 - 8 p.m. (Family) & 8 - 9 p.m. (Public); Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m.

Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 2 p.m. from Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove with Rev. Lorne Bungay officiating. Interment to follow at Goodyear's Cemetery, Windmill Bight, Lumsden, NL.
