It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Verena Schadeli age 73 years of Greenspond Road, New Wes Valley.

Verena Schadeli was born in Steffisburg Switzerland June 20, 1949. She moved to England and completed her nursing. She moved to Creston, BC in 1987 and was a registered nurse there until she retired. She moved to Greenspond, NL in 2017.
She was always interested in wildlife and loved farm animals. She enjoyed living on an acreage in Creston where she had numerous farm animals. She always had a dog for a constant companion. She enjoyed canoeing, camping, sailing and fishing.

Predeceased by her parents Friedrich and Emma Nageli Schadeli.

She is survived by her Sister Therese (Hans Peter) Von Ballmoos, brother Kurt (Maura) ' Schadeli and her nieces Anneli (Mitch) Zuvela, Heidi (Mike) Harapnuk and Claire (Neel) Purkayastha. She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews Brielle, Maya, Xander,
Sophie and Kiaan.

In keeping with Verena's wishes, cremation will take place with inurnment at a later date from St. James Anglican cemetery, Pool's Island.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the SPCA, Gander or St. James Anglican Cemetery Fund, Pool's Island.
