November 2, 1945 – September 13, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Monday, September 13, 2021 Vera Irene Winsor age 75 years of Wesleyville.
Vera spent 37 years of her life in Labrador City, NL raising her family. She then retired to what she called her "resort" in Wesleyville with her husband of 58 years.
She is predeceased by her parents Gordon and Jessie Best; parents-in-law Wilbur and Neta Winsor; sister Louise Chaulk; brother-in-law Job (Betty) Winsor; nephew Tyler Sturge.
Vera leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Fraser; sons Keith (Maureen) and Sheldon (Tina); daughter Lori (Roger Branton); grandchildren Kayla, Melissa, Jessie, Koen and Taya; great-grandchildren Brayden, Melody and Violet; brothers Bill (Christina), Frank (Florence), Raymond (Gloria) and Kevin (Heather); sisters Winnie (Edwin), Arlene and Lillian (Brian); brother-in-law Gordon Chaulk; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Public visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 2 - 4 pm & 7 - 8:30 pm.
Funeral service will be held at Jubilee United Church, Wesleyville on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 1 p.m. officiated by Rev. L. Daka and Rev. L. Bungay.
As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Vera's memory may be made to Jubilee United Church, Wesleyville.
Visitation and funeral service will be in accordance to COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations.
