It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay, Vera Judy Stokes age 88 years of Deadman's Bay.

Predeceased by her parents Ephraim and Sarah Stokes, husband James Stokes, granddaughter Melissa, grandsons Roger and Corey, brothers Peter, Herbert and Cecil and sisters Martha, Carrie, Melissa, Eliza and Daisy.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons Wayne of St. John's, Wilson (Melynda) of St. John's and Danny (Cathy) of Clarkes Beach, daughters Patti Stokes (Marc Desbiens) of Kanada, Quebec, Velma (Roland Parsons) of Deadman's Bay and Elaine (Mickie Handregan) of Maddox Cove, grandchildren Christina Penny and James Stokes, Jessica and Bianca Stokes, Natasha Desbiens, Wilson Stokes and April Somers and Cindy Walsh, step grandchildren Maria Tremblett and Gord Jordon, great grandchildren Mila, Madison, Abigail, Nevaeh, Emily, Michael, Vanessa, Mackenzie, Danyelle, Emily, Madison, Megan, Paige, Katlya, Addy, Lilly, Charity and Charlotte and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place at the Salvation Army Citadel, Musgrave Harbour beginning on

Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 2pm - 4pm (Public) & 7pm - 9pm (Public)

Friday, 2pm - 4pm (Public) & 7pm - 9pm (Family and close friends with a Family Service at 7pm)

Funeral service to take place on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 2pm with Majors Barry and Donna Anstey officiating. Interment will follow at the Salvation Army cemetery, Deadman's Bay.

As an expression of sympathy and in her memory, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund.
