Obituary

"Heaven has gained another Angel"

With broken hearts we announce the passing of our loved one Tracy Amanda Dyke - Stokes age 49 years of Badger's Quay.

Tracy passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Dr. Y. K Jeon Kittiwake Health Center, Brookfield.

Leaving to mourn with loving and cherished memories are her husband Neal Stokes; parents Lillian and Nathan Dyke; father in-law Jesse Stokes; sons Harry and Tayden; daughters Montana and Alexis; stepdaughters Carly, Candace (Paul) and Madison; step grandchildren Piper, Carson and Connor; brother Ralph (Jennifer);  brother in-law Rocky (Christine); sister in-law Angela (Derek); nieces Dezarae Fell (Brandon), Tanya Holloway, Kelly Stokes, Kayla Oake (Morley White) and Vanessa Hayward; nephews Nathan Dyke (Jasmin Marks), Rocky Thomas (Stacey), Dimitri Goodyear and Ronnie Oake.

Tracy was very lucky to have the love and caring support from a very large family of  aunts, uncles and cousins. You all had a special place in her heart.

Tracy had a true gift for making everyone around her feel special, welcome and listened to. She had a kind, nurturing and caring personality that made you feel better after talking to her. You were always welcomed in her home and to share anything she owned. Her empathy and compassion for others was a reflection of her Christian faith.

Tracy returned from Manitoba and was broken hearted because she was not permitted to bring her foster kids, whom she dearly loved, home. Her commitment of caring for her parents and starting a business became her new life. Very quickly, Tracy was loved and embraced by the whole Bonavista North community. She went out of her way to give a quality product to them and they went out of their way to support her when she became sick. She felt very lucky to have such great support from family and friends.

Tracy had many friends who loved her dearly. She had a special sisterly friendship with her childhood friend Jennifer Brown - Pearce who supported her unconditionally.  A special thank you for all your love, care and kindness given to Tracy.

The family would like to thank the hospital staff at Gander Hospital, The Health Sciences Center and Brookfield Hospital. Your caring and compassion was greatly appreciated. A special thank you to Rev. Renee Easton for your friendship and spiritual guidance.

Public visitation will be held at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Saturday, April 1st from 2 - 5 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m.

Funeral service will take place at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Badger's Quay on Sunday, April 2nd at 2 p.m. with Rev. Renee Easton officiating.  Cremation to follow.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Tracy's memory may be made to the family. A decision on monetary disbursements will be made later.
