Deadman's Bay

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Terry Junior Stokes, age 66 of Deadman's Bay at the Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre in Brookfield on Thursday, September 3, 2026. 

He was predeceased by his devoted parents, Ethel and Peter Stokes; sons, Cory and Roger; daughter, Melissa; and brothers-in-law, Leslie, Rayburn, and Warrick.

Terry leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his beloved wife, Karen; daughters, Erika and Jessika with her husband Matt; and grandchildren, Summer, Brooke, Wyatt, Sky, Jax, Jason, Camilla, and Kara. He is also remembered by his brothers, Ross (Mary) and Donald (Denise); sisters, Mildred (Newman), Iona (Eldon), Marilyn, Neta (Robert), Fern (Melvin), Sarah (Sandy) and Ada (Terry); along with a wide circle of devoted relatives and friends.

Known for his kindness, generosity, and humor, Terry took great joy in outdoor activities, particularly salmon fishing and woodcutting. His "little piece of heaven" by the river in Deadman's Bay was a treasured retreat, where he embraced the beauty of nature and fostered countless friendships.

Terry's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, as he was a loving family man and a true friend to many.

At Terry's request cremation will take place.

Visitation will take place at The Salvation Army Citadel, Musgrave Harbour on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 2 -4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m. 

Funeral service will take place at The Salvation Army Citadel, Musgrave Harbour on Thursday, September 10. 2026 at 2 p.m. with Major Hedley Bungay officiating. Inurnment at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the family. A decision on monetary disbursements to be made later.
