It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Center, Brookfield on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 Susannah "Susie" Rogers age 81 years of Wareham.
Susie was born on Fair Island on December 19, 1939, to parents Sybil and Wilfred Brown. She was a loving and caring woman who was always full of energy. She loved her family and spending time out at the cabin on Silver Fox Island. She was always tracking the days out at the island and wishing she could stay even longer. She was a devoted member of the Indian Bay Lions Club, the WI, the ACW, and St. John the Baptist Church.
She is predeceased by her husband Walter Rogers; her parents Sybil and Wilfred Brown; brothers: Leonard and Clarence (Marjorie); sister: Mae (Norm Gent).
Left with fond and loving memories are her sons: Gerald (Maureen), Grant (Janice), and Graham (Terri); brothers: Bob (Marguerite) and Enos (Daisy); sisters: Geraldine (Robert Tulk - deceased) and Elaine Ackerman; grandchildren: Jennifer, Nicholas (Rochelle), Brandon (Breann), Natasha, Nicole, Megan, and Shendel; great grandchildren: Charlotte and Elias; brother–in-law: Joseph Rogers (Mona and their sons: Bradley, Byron, and Bruce); and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Thursday from 7 - 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m.
Funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Wareham at 11 a.m. with Rev. Daphne Parsons officiating. Interment to follow at The Anglican Church Cemetery, Wareham.
As an expression sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Susie's memory may be made to the Dr. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation, St. John's.
Visitation and funeral service will be in accordance to COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations.
