December 19, 1963 – April 20, 2026
It is with great sadness and shattered hearts that we announce the passing of Shawn Dyke on Monday, April 20, 2026 at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield, NL.
He was a great man with a kind, generous, compassionate and loving heart. Also was very shy until he got to know you. He was the type of man that was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially for his friends.
He loved his cabin in the country and trouting in the ponds especially in big nor- west. He even used a rod and reel for cod fishing.
Predeceased by his parents Nathaniel and Deborah, Sister;Josephine (Frank) Collins, Brothers; Melvin, Gordon, Frankie, Sister-in-law Lillian and Nieces; Sandy and Tracy
Leaving to morn, his spouse; Sherry of 18 yrs and 85 days, Sister; Leah (Norman), Brothers; Nathan, Raymond (Brenda), Spencer (Joyce), Baxter (Marilyn) and Michael (Angela), Sisters-in-law; Blanche and Cynthia, Mother and Father in-law; Jane and Seward, Brothers-in-law; Sherman (Sarah) and Shannon (Barb), sisters; Maxine (Anthony) and Wanda Lee (Christopher), Numerous nieces and nephews, As well as a large circle of extended family and special friends.
In keeping with Shawn's wishes, cremation will take place.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 2 P.M - 4 P.M at The Silver Fox Lounge, Centreville.
A graveside Inurnment will take place at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shawn's memory to his spouse; Ms. Sherry Pickett .
We would like to thank the doctors, nurses, all our family and friends for your care and compassion that you had shown during Shawn's illness. Also to Tracy, Brent and Margaret at Kittiwake Funeral Home, your kindness, care and compassion will never be forgotten.
