It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear loved one on Monday, August 7, 2017 in his residence at Wareham, Roy Milton Bailey age 71 years. Predeceased by parents; William Thomas and Sarah Jane (Jenny) Bailey, brother; Claude Bailey and brother-in-law; Bill Burry. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are his wife; Alma (Pickett), Son; Keith (Stacey) of St. John's, daughters; Lisa (Ken Sutherland) of Lady Smith, B.C., Valerie (Dave Leaman) of Perth, Australia, sister; Jean Burry of Gander, 5 grandchildren; Jessica, Brittany, Joshua, Simon, Isaac, 4 great-grandchildren; Reagan, Piper, Bria, Jace and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove from where Roy's farewell service will take place on Friday, August 11 at 2:30 p.m. for family and close friends, with Rev. Larry Noseworthy officiating. Inurnment will take place on Saturday, August 12 at 1 P.M. at All Saints Cemetery, Gander. As an expression of sympathy donations in Roy's memory may be made to The Twillingate Fire Department, of which he was a firefighter for 17 years then an honorary member thereafter.
