It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at The Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, Roxanne Matchim age 61 years of Wareham, NL.

Predeceased by her father in-law Claude Matchim.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband Perry; son Garry Matchim of Wareham; daughters Natasha Matchim (Justin Bown) of Wareham and Taya Hounsell (Jonathan) of Goose Bay; granddaughter Abigail Collins of Bowmanville, ON.; parents Garfield and Honor Hounsell of Oram's Home, Gambo; mother in-law Gloria Matchim of Oram's Bethesda Manor, Gander; sisters Brenda Pickett (Floyd) of Centreville, Linda Wicks (David) of Wareham and Betsy Hounsell (Craig) of Hare Bay; brothers Gerard Hounsell (Jennifer) of Wareham and Roland Hounsell (Annie) of Wareham; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Wareham on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 7 - 9 p.m. (Public) and Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 10 -12 noon (Public).

Funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Maxine Abbott officiating. Interment to follow at The Anglican Cemetery, Wareham, NL.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the family.
