Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loved one on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 in his home at Valleyfield, Ronald Goodyear aged 76 years.

Predeceased by his parents George and Dorothy Goodyear; brothers Roland Goodyear, Ernest Goodyear and Wilbert Goodyear; sister Blanche Stokes; brother-in-law Leonard Auchinleck; mother and father-in-law Ralph and Carrie White; sisters-in-law Annie Winsor and Blanche Burry; brother-in-law Cluney Burton.

Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Maggie; daughters Paulette (Eugene) Goodyear of Lumsden and Beulah (Clayton) Firmage of Centreville; son Tyler (Jenny) Goodyear of Bedford, NS.; grandchildren Jessica (Trevor) Stokes of Lumsden, Jordan Winsor of St. John's and Cassandra Winsor of Mt. Pearl; great-grandchildren Rylie, Rebecca, Robbie, Ryder, Audrey, Jane and Emily; sisters Margaret (John) Oldford of Ontario, Barbara Auchinleck of Holyrood, Ann (Fred) Chafe of Lumsden, May (Peter) Dackers of Lumsden and Paula (Guy) Battiste of Ontario; brothers Glen (Elaine) of Lumsden and Joe (Marilyn) of Wesleyville; sisters-in-law Myrtle Goodyear of Gander and Winnie Goodyear of Bellview; brother-in-law Cecil Stokes of Musgrave Harbour; sisters-in-law Nina Burton of Greenspond, Ivy (Clayton) Hunt of Valleyfield, Margaret (Bert) Bown of Gander, Bessie (Hubert) Knee of Fort McMurray, Brenda (Ted) Knee of Fort McMurray, Evelyn (Pat) Webb of Oshawa, Kim (Darryl) Burry of Greenspond and Lisa (Ivan) Parsons of Indian Bay; brothers-in-law Eric Winsor of Wesleyville and Bob Burry of Ontario; and a large circle of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove from where the funeral will take place on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 2 p.m. with Mr. Les Stokes officiating. Interment to follow at The Goodyear Cemetery, Windmill Bight, with Mr. Ernest Stagg caring for proceedings.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Goodyear family who will decide upon monetary disbursements at a later date.
