It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL, Roland John Hunt age 72 years of Trinity, B.Bay, NL.
Predeceased by parents; Jacob and Amelia (Rogers) Hunt, brothers; Stephen (Melina), Jim (Rose), Kator (Bernice), Felix (Ethel) and Jacob (Anne), sister; Jessie (Zack).
Leaving to mourn with fond and lovely memories are, his spouse; Maud, son; Brian Alfred Hunt, daughter; Cynthia Collins (Chris), brothers; Percy (Rose), Samuel (Joyce), Harry (Sondra), Arthur (Mary), Marshall (Kay), Wilfred (Linda) , sisters; Edna Pilgrim (Don) and Myrtle Cochrane (Cecil) , grandchildren; Tyler Ackerman and Adrian Ackerman, great-grandchildren; Sawyer Ackerman (Tyler's Son) , Zaiden and Zane Ackerman (Adrian's sons). Also leaving to mourn, is a large circle of other relatives and many friends.
In keeping with Roland's wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Graveside Service will take place at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Alban's Anglican Church Cemetery Fund, Trinity B.Bay, NL
Roland is gone today and I feel like I haven't had time to mourn him.
He loved to tease the ladies but his daughter; Cynthia was the apple of his eye.
He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends, he will be remembered with love.
Thank you to Rev. Beaton for all the prayers, the Doctors and Nurses who took such compassionate care of him
and to the large number of people who filled his room with love and care.
