Raymond
Parsons
April 2, 1950 – July 19, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at his residence in Indian Bay, Raymond Parsons age 73 years.
Ray will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Judy; children Troy (Joanne), Christopher (Wanda) and Christa (Brad); grandchildren Brooke (Kris), Ben, Cameron, Mya and Charley; pet dog Sophie; siblings Isabel (Ellis), Neta (John), Roland (Velma), Ann (Rod), Guy (Mary), Roma (Glenn), Colleen (Glenn), Lisa (Greg) and Bobby; and a large extended family and circle of friends.
Ray was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Alma Parsons; siblings Marjorie, Carrie (Bill) and Roger.
Ray will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He always said, "I have the best family".
He was a strong, hardworking man that always provided for his family and he took pride in doing what he could for them and for so many others. His generosity touched many lives around him. He had a heart of gold and would always go above and beyond.
His wife of 50 years was his strength and he loved her immensely. Where you saw one, you saw the other, along with their little dog, Sophie. Rays grandchildren were the light of his life and he dearly loved spending time with them. He called them "Pops Fortunes".
He loved the outdoors, with weekend trips to the cabin where all were welcomed. His love for growing vegetables in his garden was abundant. He was forever adding more boxes and mud to increase its size, always shopping for those right seeds.
His love for his town, especially its park was known by all. Always wanting to make it better for the many families that visited, he became known as the Park Ranger.
Ray, Dad, Pop you are loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
Rest in Peace. Our memories and love will live on forever.
Resting at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, Indian Bay on Thursday, July 20, 2023 and Friday, July 21, 2023 from where the funeral will take place on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Renee Easton officiating.
