It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear loved one on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Health Centre, Brookfield, NL, Phyllis Melba Goodyear age 74 years of Deadman's Bay. Predeceased by her husband; Baxter Goodyear, father; Laud Abbott, mother; Beatrice Faulkner, grandparents; Kenneth and Nora Faulkner and grandson; Jamie Ray Faulkner. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are son; Raymond Faulkner (Kim) of Gander, daughter; Barbara (Winston Goodyear) of Deadman's Bay, brothers; Ray Stokes (Norma) of Musgrave Harbour, Gerald Stokes (Wavey) of Loon Bay, Gordon Abbott (Blanche) of Musgrave Harbour, Cyril Abbott (Mabel) of Musgrave Harbour, sisters; Stella (Raymond Mouland) of Musgrave Harbour, Vera Chaulk of Ladle Cove, Betty (Walter Goodyear) of Deadman's Bay, Edna Stagg of Cape Freels, Zeta (Aubrey Parsons) of Lumsden, Effie (Gerald Goodyear) of Lumsden, Phoebe of Musgrave Harbour, Linda (Rick Mills) of Deep Bight, Elsie (Wayde Stagg) of St. John's, Hazel (Scott Kean) of St. John's, Cavell (Sandy Hicks) of Musgrave Harbour, grandchildren; David, Lisa, Amanda, Kody and Allan, great-grandchildren; Isabella , Olivia, 4 step children and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Resting at the United Church, Deadman's Bay from where the funeral service will take place on Friday, July 21 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Larry Noseworthy officiating and Rev. Lorne Bungay assisting. Interment will follow at the United Church Cemetery, Deadman's Bay. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Goodyear family.
