Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on April 16, 2022 in his 93 ^rd year, Peter Gill Hall of Newtown, NL.

Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories his sons and daughters Barry (Juanita), Elizabeth (Paul), Patricia (Brian) and Peter (Marina); 9 grandchildren Steven (Carolyn), Jennifer (Kasun), Jonathon (Lisa), Jeanna, Megan (Shawn), Melanie (Devon), Chelsea (Jeff), Kyle and Jane (Kaden); 8 great-grandchildren Brayden, Phoenix, Xander, Weston, Harrison, Tanner, Ellie and Luna; brother-in-law Neville Abbott (Clara) as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by his loving wife Esther Jane, father Archibald, mother Emily, brothers Jesse (Carrie), Howard (Sophie) and Walter (Lorraine), sisters Blanche, Lillian (Charlie), Hazel (Raymond) and Kate (Edward).

Peter was a teacher for 36 years. In his life he filled many other roles. He farmed the land, harvested wild berries, was a hunter that provided food for his family. Peter was also a carpenter, historian, lay reader for the church and a town councilor of Newtown.

Peter took a keen interest in his community and served on the hospital committee, and the committee to bring a senior citizen home to his area.

Most of all, Peter was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He will be missed and remembered fondly by all that knew him.

May he rest in eternal peace.

Visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Monday, April 18th from 7 - 9 pm (Public); Tuesday April 19th from 2 - 4 pm (Public) & 7 - 9 pm (Family).

Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 11 A.M. at St. Luke's Anglican Church, Newtown with Rev. Renee Easton officiating. Interment will follow at St. Luke's Anglican Church Cemetery, Newtown.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in Peter's memory may be made to St. Luke's Anglican Church, Newtown.
