Bongers age 72 years, formerly of Musgrave Harbour, NL.

Predeceased by her mother, Margaret Kallay.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is the love of her life, her cherished
soulmate, Darrell Legge, her daughter Chris Vautour (Marti), brother Terence Leblanc,
step-daughters Gloria Bosse (Brad), and Alicia Legge, grandchildren Joshua, Sydney,
Drew, Reichen, Ryan, Sara, great grandchildren Brooklyn, Lylah, Gabriel, brothers-in-
law; Fred (Deborah), Donald (Tina), sisters-in-law; Marilyn (Boyde), Kathy (John),
predeceased brother-in-law Derek (Madonna), nephews and nieces Douglas, Cheryl,
Amanda, Chris, Crystal, AJ, Jenn, Joseph, James, predeceased nephew Paul, her
Vautour family, and a vast circle of other relatives, friends, her MTD family, and all the
Newfoundlanders that embraced her.

Paulette was a big personality in a little 5 foot tall package. She radiated warmth and happiness
with her 1000-kilowatt smile. But more than anything, she could see into you with her deep
brown soulful eyes. Paulette was a friend to many in a time of need as she had empathy for
others pain and vulnerability. She stood up for the underdog and spoke up against hate and
ignorance. She had courage and a will to survive adversity by always moving forward and
leading with her heart. She was an oil painter and lover of art and beauty. The garden and home
she shared by the sea with Darrell was the centre of her universe. She LOVED people and was
a true extrovert, making friends wherever she went on her daily errands around town. Paulette
adored animals and had many beloved dogs and cats over her life. Her Hungarian immigrant
grandparents were hard working, loving people whom she cherished and drew strength from.
Paulette's legacy is that she was a trusted confidant and seeker of wisdom and love. She was
passionate and spiritual, and if you knew her, you were loved by her. We will miss your
generous heart and genuine lust for life Paulette, may you rest in peace knowing you were
loved by many.

In keeping with Paulette's wishes, cremation will take place, and a celebration of life will
be announced in the spring of 2024.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers or donations are gratefully accepted in Paulette's
memory to Covenant House.
