It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on Sunday, January 15, 2017, Oliver Kean age 89 years of Pound Cove. Predeceased by parents; John and Louiela Kean, wife; Gwendolyn, brothers; Sam, Cluney and sister-in-law Megan, Elden, sister; Dorothy and brother-in-law; Baxter Perry and daughter Olga Sheppard. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons; Eric of Pound Cove, John (Shirley) of Badger's Quay, Guy (Nancy) of Wesleyville, Rodney of Pound Cove, daughters; Linda (Harry Bishop) of Wesleyville, Elsie (Gary Boland) of St. John's, brother; Russell (Marina) of Pound Cove, sister; Nellie (Glenn Hann) of Templeman, sisters-in-law; Jane Kean of Badger's Quay , Sophie Kean of Gander,14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service was held on January 18, 2017 at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Pound Cove with Rev. Cindy Graham officiating. Interment followed at St. Mary's Anglican Church Cemetery, Pound Cove. As an expression of sympathy donations in his memory may be made to St. Mary's Anglican Church Cemetery Fund, Pound Cove.
