It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear loved one on Monday, June 26, 2017 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Nita Mary Pickett age 87 years of Wareham. Predeceased by parents; James and Jane Pond, husband; William, twin sons; (Samuel James and Maxwell) and son; Maxwell, brothers; Jack and Hector Pond, sisters; Barbara, Alma and Ada. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons; Brian (Yvonne) of Centreville, Terry of Edmonton, Alberta, Maxwell (Johann) of Indian Bay, Randy of Wareham, daughters; Trixie (Harrison) of Centreville, Gladys (Dave) of Labrador City, Kathy (Jamie) of Trinity, brothers; Earl Pond of St. John's, Wayne Pond (Janet) of Clarenville, sisters; Marie (Patrick Anstey) of Centreville, Mary (Art Hunt) of Centreville, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. Pickett will be resting at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Wareham on Tuesday with public viewing starting at 7 P.M. - 9 P.M. Wednesday, 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. & 7 P.M. - 9 P.M. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Daphne Parsons officiating. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church Cemetery, Wareham. As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted.
