It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay, NL, Neta Pearl Jones age 87 years of Indian Bay, NL.

Predeceased by her sons; Michael and Alexander, daughter; Elizabeth, parents; William George and Isabella Jane Hunt, brothers; Wilfred (Maggie) Hunt, Edwin (Sadie) Hunt, brother-in-law; Harold Oldford, parents-in- law; Benjamin and Minnie Jones, brothers-in-law; Claude Jones, Lloyd Taylor, Arthur (Edna) Jones, Edgar (Alma) Jones and sister-in-law; Violet (Eleanor Hurley).

Leaving to mourn with loving memories are her husband; Sandy of 67 years, son; Michael , grandchildren, Maddox, Morgan and Mackenzie, sisters; Eileen, Emma (Ron), sisters-in-law; Lucy Taylor and Louise Jones of Jackson's Arm.

Neta was well known and deeply loved within her community.She had a love for life and a warm presence that touched many people. Her family was her pride and joy, especially her son  Michael and her beloved grandchildren who meant so much to her.

Neta was also deeply devoted to her church and parish community. Over the years, she served faithfully in many roles, including as a member of the ACW and the Altar Guild. She shared her faith by teaching Sunday school and preparing young people for Confirmation.

For many years she also served as a Licensed Lay Minister and Eucharistic Assistant, faithfully helping to lead and support the worship life of the church she loved so dearly.

Through her Faith, her service and her kindness, Neta leaves behind a legacy of devotion, love and community that will be remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, Indian Bay at

2 P.M. - 4 P.M. & 7 P.M. -9 P.M.

Funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 2 P.M. at  St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, Indian Bay with Rev. Maxine Abbott officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Church Cemetery, Indian Bay, NL

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in her memory to The Jones family, they will decide at a later date on monetary disbursements.
