I t is with extreme sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our loved one, Nellie Howell, at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, age 69 years.
Predeceased by her first husband, John Tiller (1989); parents, Baxter and Dorothy Perry; brother, Guy Perry; brother-in-law, Lewis Hounsell; father-in-law, George Howell; nephew, Terry Howell and niece, Tanya Howell.
Leaving to mourn with so many beautiful memories, her loving husband, Frank; cherished daughters, Dawn (Devon Skjei) and Rhonda (Travis Blackmore); step-children, Dawn and David Howell; precious grandchildren, Abigail Blackmore, Parker & Riley Skjei and Nathan Howell-Monahan. Sisters, Roma Howell (Terry), Eileen Hounsell, Cheryl Barbour (Donald), Kimberly Perry (Kent); Brothers, Earl Perry (Wanda), Carl Perry (Cindy), Barry Perry (Nadine); sisters-in-law, Marcie Abbott and Phyllis Perry. Uncle Russell Kean (Marina), Aunt Nellie Hann and Aunt Susie Tulk, a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Nellie was one of a kind. She was known for her kind and generous heart and will always be remembered for her love, laughter and the beautiful woman she was. Her family was her greatest blessing. Her girls were her pride and joy and she was always so proud of their accomplishments. She cherished her grandchildren and wished she could have spent more time with them.
Visitation for family and friends will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove, on Monday, July 22nd from 11 am to 1 pm.
In keeping with her wishes, a private service will be held later in the day, by invitation only.
Inurnment to follow at St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Pound Cove.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the family.
The family would like to thank the management and staff of Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre for the exceptional care given to Nellie and our family. Your kindness will forever and always be remembered.
