It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Minnie Lorraine Winter age 91 years of Valleyfield, NL

Minnie was born on December 22, 1933, on Paul's Island to Joseph and
Ameila Rogers.
She married her loving husband, Herbert Winter, on October 20, 1954, in
Northwest Arm. They later made a home in Valleyfield where they
raised their six children.
As a young girl Minnie started working as a cook on the Schooner's,
travelling to the Labrador Coast during the summer months. She later
worked at Brookfield Hospital and finished her career working at Beothic
Fish. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, knitting, completing word
searches, and reading.
Minnie is predeceased by her husband Herbert Winter, her parents
Joseph and Ameila Rogers, sister Hannah (Fred) Collins, brother Nelson
(Jane) Rogers, brother Felix (Frances) Rogers, and grandson Stephen
Ricketts.
Leaving to mourn; Sons Wade (Mona) Winter, Glenn Winter (Kimberly
Cuff), Carl (Colette) Winter, and Kirk (Paula) Winter, Daughters; Lorraine
(Norman) Winter, and Joan (Barry) Parsons, Sister; Dorothy (Jack)
Ackerman, Grandchildren; Nicole (David) Whittle, Justin (Stephanie)
Winter, Jody (Mavis) Winter, Jason (Suzette) Winter, Jeremy Winter
(Dennis Roussin), Matthew (Sally) Ricketts, Travis Winter, Troy Winter,
Candace (Paul) Miller, Chilo Winter, Chad (Jodi) Winter, Stephen Winter
(Katrina Anderson), Nicholas Winter (Chantelle Coombs), along with
eighteen Great-Grandchildren and two Great-Great-Grandchildren, and
a large circle of relatives and friends.
Minnie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and living her
later years at Otterbury Manor.

Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove .

Visitation  starting on Friday, February 14, 2025 for Family only  from 2 P.M - 4 P.M. and Public at 7 P.M. - 9 P.M.

Funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11 A.M. at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove with Rev. Renee Easton officiating. Interment will follow at  St. Alban's Anglican Church Cemetery, Badger's Quay, NL.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in her memory to The Winter Family, they will decide at a later date on monetary disbursements.
