It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay, Minnie Sturge age 95 years of Valleyfield.

Predeceased by her parents; John and Sophie Preston, husband; Avalon W. Sturge, son; Fredrick, sister; Ivy Kean and 3 brothers; Percy, Corbett and Hedley.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons; Eric (Sylvia), Philip (Sandra) and Elotus (Joanne), daughters; Shirley (Clyde Parsons), Dorothy (Herbert Andrews), Sophie Lyall and Cynthia (Andy Best), sister; Adelaide Sturge, 15 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren and a large number of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove beginning on

Sunday, 2pm - 4pm (Family only) & 7pm - 9pm (Public)

Monday, 2pm - 4pm & 7pm - 8pm (Public) & 8pm - 9pm (Family only)

Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Memorial United Church, Valleyfield at 11am with Rev. Limon Daka officiating, assisted by Rev. George Kean. Interment will follow at Memorial United Church cemetery, Valleyfield.
