It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather on Monday, February 1, 2021 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Edgar Samuel (Melvin) King age 73 years of Templeman.

Predeceased by his parents John and Ruth King; brothers William King and Ralph King; sisters Eliza (Peter) Attwood and Mabel (Eric) Burry.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Genevieve; daughters Tracy (Gerald) of Gander and Tanya (Gerald) of St. John's; grandchildren Matthew, Emily and Emma; sisters-in-law Phyllis King and Susie King; and a large circle of family and friends.

Due to COVID - 19 recommendations and guidelines, visitation and funeral service will be by invitation only.

Visitation will be held at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 12 noon - 4 p.m.

Funeral service will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Larry Noseworthy officiating. At Melvin's request cremation will take place.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations in Melvin's memory may be made to the family. A decision on monetary disbursements will be made later.
