It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear loved one on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Matthias Pickett age 82 years of Centreville. Predeceased by parents; Eldon and Annie Pickett, brothers; Percy, Ephraim and James, sisters; Bernice, Clara Anne, Ariana, Violet, Kathleen, Audrey and Margaret. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of sixty years; Eliza Jane, daughter; Trudy (Walter Nolan) of Ottawa ,ON. , brothers; Lindsay (Linda) of Centreville, David (Eileen) of Centreville, grandchildren; Ryan Nolan of Labrador City, Megan Nolan of Ottawa, ON and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service was held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 2 P.M. at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville with Rev. Hannah Dicks officiating. Interment followed at St. Barnabas Anglican Church Cemetery, Centreville. As an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Matthias's memory to St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville.
