It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Marion Melindy age 88 years of Lumsden.

Predeceased by her husband Jack Melindy; parents Nicholas and Lavina Halleran; Brothers Alphonsus (Anita), Gerald (Marie), Robert, Bernard, Hilary; Sisters Rose (Richard), Edna, Ruth, Mona (John) and three infant sisters; brothers-in-law, Gordon (Dorcas), Lloyd (Patsy), Wilfred; Sister-in-law Juanita (Erwin); Nephews and nieces. Randy,Gerry, Bob, Rodney, Brenda and Rosalyn.

Leaving to mourn; Children, John, Juanita, Barry (Fay), Paul (Lois), Ruth (Dan), Shawn (Dawn) and Doris; Grandchildren, Sandy (Amber), Aaron (Sean), Nicholas (Courteney), Elizabeth (Jon), Jennifer (Kasun), Laurie (Dave), Jeanna, Matthew (Tracy), Barry (Alana), Jessica (James), Megan, Holly (Jason),Jacqueline (Adrian),Kent, Allison and Maria; Great grandchildren, Ellie, Landon, Noah, Destiny, Gracie,Rachael, Emily, Mason, Jillian, Zachary, Silver,Tia, Killian, Danica, Grayson, Melody, Jude and Casey; Brother, Nicholas; Sisters-in-law Elsie,Theresa, Carmelita; Brothers-in-law Sebastian, Fred (Norma); Close family friends Barry, Norma and Bjorn.

She also leaves a large circle of extended family and friends.

Visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 4 - 5 p.m. (Immediate Family Only); Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 1 -2 p.m (Immediate Family Only) & 2 - 4 p.m. (Extended Family).

A private funeral service will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Desmond Parsons officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations in Marion's memory may be made to The United Church Cemetery Fund, Lumsden.
