Marion Jean Abbott

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at The Long Term care Home, Gander on Sunday, May 10, 2026, Marion Jean Abbott age 83 years of Musgrave Harbour, NL.

Predeceased by her parents Maisie and Allan Bishop; husband Halley Abbott; son in-law Glen Ellsworth; parents in-law Hedley Abbott (Nellie); nieces Debbie Abbott and Doreen Foster; nephews Roy Bishop, Craig Bishop, Barry Abbott and Rodney Abbott; sisters Myrtle Ryan (Stanley), Mavis Bath, Jessie Critch (Selby) and Phyllis Foss (Bert); brothers Calvin Bishop (Stella), Reginald Bishop and Frank Bishop (Vanessa); sister in-law Laura Chaulk; brothers in-law Wilson Abbott (Martha), Lemuel Abbott (Ann), Warren Abbott and Laud Abbott (Nancy). 

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son Micheal (Isabella) of Benton; daughters Muriel Tulk (Tony) of Carmanville and Cherylynn Ellsworth of Carmanville; sisters Mabel Stoodley (Guy) of King’s Point and Muriel Dyer (Gerald) of GrandFalls; brother Junior Bishop (Daisy) of LaScie; sister in-law Marion Bishop of Gander; brothers in-law Harold Bath of LaScie and Perry Abbott (Marion) of St. John's; grandchildren Corey Tulk (Lisa), Anita Burt (Darrell), Angela Gillingham (Evan), Ryan Ellsworth (Stacey), Micheal Abbott (Christina), Cindylynn Abbott, Brandon Abbott (Cassidy) and Jessica Parsons (Joe); great grandchildren Colby, Katelyn, Brady, Brooke, Hayden, Alex, Chase, Aiesha, Taesean, Domynica, Zaileigh, Desirae, Dakota, Kayden, Landon, Bentley, Lynken, Atlanta, Jagger, Oliver, Alexis, Chase, Emelia, Logan, Oren and Brynlee; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Musgrave Harbour on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 3 – 4 p.m. (Family) and 7 – 9 p.m. (Public); Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 2 – 4 p.m. (Public)  and 7 – 9 p.m. (Public)

Funeral service will take place at The Salvation Army Citadel, Musgrave Harbour on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 2 p.m. with Major Hedley Bungay officiating. Interment to follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Musgrave Harbour.
