It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Margaret Jean Stokes at the age of 86 years. Margaret passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Monday, March 27, 2023.

Predeceased by her parents Cecil and Florence Abbott; husband Joseph Stokes; brothers Ronnie Abbott and Gerald Abbott; sister Doris Whiteway; grandson Jeffrey Goodyear.

Leaving to mourn Margaret's passing are her daughters Juanita (Sam Chaulk), Glenys Stokes (Darrin Starks), Judy (Paul Kean), Bernice (Ford Gray), Marlene (Sean Heaney) and Jo-ann (Curtis Goodyear); son David Stokes (Darrell); sister Joan Savard, 19 grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren, a large circle of other relatives and many many friends.

Visitation will be held at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Musgrave Harbour on Tuesday, March 28th  from 7 - 9 p.m. (Public); Wednesday., March 29th from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m. (Public)

A celebration of Margaret's life will take place on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 2 p.m. from The Salvation Army Citadel, Musgrave Harbour officiated by Major William Kean.

Interment to follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Deadman's Bay.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Margaret's memory may be made to The Stokes Family and a  decision on monetary disbursements will be made later.
