It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL, Marcella Bride (Pickett) Bemister age 63 years of Centreville, NL.
Marcella Bride Bemister was born on June 21, 1962 at Brookfield Hospital.
Marcella was predeceased by her parents: Edrick and Kathleen Pickett; grandparents: Silas and Jane Pickett; Eldon and Annie Pickett. Brother-in-law: Kevin Hunt; father of her sons: Cecil John Parsons. Leaving to mourn is her husband; Barry; sons: Justin, Lloyd (Crystal) of Wareham; granddaughter: Madison of Greenspond; brothers: Calvin (Lorraine) Pickett, Ellison Pickett; sisters: Annie (Roland) Hounsell, Margaret Hunt (Cory Spurrell), Aunts: Eliza Jane Pickett and Aunt Ade Pickett, uncles: David (Eileen) Pickett, Lindsay (Linda) Pickett; nieces and nephews whom she adored and loved. Also, a large circle of extended family and friends.
Marcella was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend whose kindness touched everyone she met. She welcomed people with warmth and compassion; whether they had known her for years and just met her. She was a faithful child of God. She was well known in her community and truly a friend to all. Marcella loved to dance and lived life to the fullest. Above all she cherished her family and her granddaughter Madison held a very special place within her heart. She will always be deeply loved and forever remembered.
Visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Friday, March 6, 2026
Family only at 1:30 P.M. - 2: 30 P.M. & Public visitation at 2:30 P.M. - 4 P.M. & 7 P.M. - 9 P.M.
Funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville at 2 P.M. with Rev. Maxine Abbott officiating. Interment will follow at St. Barnabas Anglican Cemetery, Centreville.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in her memory to The Family, they will decide at a later date on monetary disbursements.
