It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marcella Jane Abbott at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on April 9, 2025, at the age of 87 years old.

Known for her quick wit and infectious sense of humour, Marcella brought laughter and joy to everyone around her.  In her younger years, she was deeply involved in her church community where her faith and kindness touched many lives.  A lover of music, she enjoyed singing and could often be found sharing songs with those she held dear.  Marcella cherished spending time with friends and family when they would visit, and was always up for long chats on the telephone when visiting wasn't an option.  Above all, she was a giving person with a big heart, always offering more to others than she would ever take.

She was predeceased by her parents, George and Eva Howell, her brother Kenneth Howell, husband Neaman Abbott and her son Danny Abbott.  Marcella is survived by her daughters Roxanne, Marlene and Pauline, her brother Frank Howell, her grandchildren Amanda, Faith and Callum, her nieces Eva, Dawn, and Sharon, and her nephews Dwayne and David.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

At families request cremation will take place.

Funeral service will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 2 P.M at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Musgrave Harbour with Mrs. Grace Mouland officiating. Inurnment will follow at the United Church Cemetery, Musgrave Harbour.
