It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Qauy, Maisie Barbara Whalen age 81 years of Carmanville.

Predeceased by her parents Maxwell and Tryphnea Coles; husband Frank; brothers Calvin, Vincent and Junior; sisters Joyce and Josephine (Howard).

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons; Brian (Sandra) of South Brookfield, NS., Tony (Angelina) of Carmanville, Rodney of West Chester Station, NS., Jeffery of Trout River, Norman (Lori) of Frederickton, Trevor (Krista) of Carmanville, daughter; Betty-Ann (Robert) of CBS, brother; Raymond Coles (Wilma) of Carmanville, sisters; Shirley Morgan (Willis) of Carmanville and Rita (Harvey) of Gander, grandchildren; Stacey, Diana, Cody, Jessica, Breanna, Noah, James, Austin, Christine, Azeez, Khadijah, Aliyah, Hannah, Elijah, Rayna and Landon, great-grandchildren; Hunter, Oliver, Walker and J.J., sister in-law; Marilyn Coles of Carmanville, brother in-law; Wilson Tulk of Carmanville and a large circle of other relatives and many friends.

A very special thank-you to the staff of Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Center and Bonnews Lodge.

Visitation will take place at The Salvation Army Citadel, Carmanville on Wednesday, April 26th from 4 - 5 p.m. (Family) & 7 - 9 p.m. (Public); Thursday, April 27th from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m. (Public).

Funeral Service will take place at The Salvation Army Citadel, Carmanville on Friday, April 28th at 2 p.m. with Major William Kean officiating.

Interment to follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Carmanville South, NL.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Maisie's memory may be made to the family.
