It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on Saturday, January 13, 2018 Louise Anna Thibert age 96 years of Trinity. Louise was born in St. Aime, Quebec. As a young adult she was employed as a teacher. She married Walter Thibert and together they had 7 children. After the end of her marriage Louise moved to Toronto in the 1950's. She met and fell in love with Samuel Gibbons (formerly of Trinity Bonavista Bay, NL). In 2006, Louise relocated with Samuel to Newfoundland and they took up residence at Oram's Emmanuel Manor, Gambo. They later moved to Lakeside Homes, Gander. Although they had never married they spent 50 + years together. A few years following Samuel's passing, Louise once again relocated to Bonnew's Lodge, Badger's Quay.

Predeceased by her parents Marie Rose and Edouard L'Amoureux; ex-husband Walter Thibert; long time companion Samuel Gibbons; children Walter Jr., Florence, Dianne and Shirley; sisters Bertha and Theresa; bothers Lucien and Donatien; sisters and brothers-in-law Simone, Madeline, Theodor and Gerald.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sister Monique; children Estelle, Christine and Lynda; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a wide circle of loving extended family and friends.

Funeral service to take place at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Trinity on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Daphne Parsons officiating. Inurnment to follow at The Anglican Cemetery, Trinity.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Louise's memory may be made to St. Alban's Anglican Church, Trinity.
