In Loving Memory of
Leonard Clifton Howell
July 2, 1943 ~ October 24, 2023
It is with deepest sadness we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Leonard Howell at his home in Newtown, NL.
Predeceased by his mother Martha Blackwood, father Clifton Howell, step-mother Marcie Howell, darling grandson Daniel Pumphrey and brother-in-law Carl Blackmore.
Leaving to mourn his loving wife Kate, daughters Martha (Tom), Coralie and Nadine; sisters Shirley (Ray), Nellie (Ed), Cindy (Clyde) and Valeda (Jim); brothers Rick (Anne), Terry (Roma) and Tony (Brenda); grandchildren Javy, Katey (Isaak), Tommy (Veronica), Allyson (Tanner), Gabriel, Haley (Garret), Rebecca (Dylan) and Samuel; great-grandchildren Elaina, Grayson and Parker; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Leonard had a love of the outdoors. He loved his garden, cutting wood for the winter and berry picking. He was a mild and gentle man with a dry sense of humor and a friend to everyone. In his words...
"Gone berry picking, won't be back"
At Leonard's request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Saturday, October 28th from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m.
