On October 1, 1958, the world was blessed with the birth of Kirk Lloyd Norris. Born in Newfoundland to parents James & Leah Norris – he was the younger brother to two older sisters, Betty & Floss and later became the older brother to two younger siblings, Kevin and Kim. D uring his early teenage years he met the true love of his life, Bonita and they married on August 4, 1978.

Shortly after their marriage – Kirk & Bonita, along with their son, Chadwick relocated to Ontario where they welcomed their youngest son Kristopher.  They spent more than 40 years living and working in Ontario – many of which were spent as an employee of Packall Packaging.

In 2020, upon his retirement from Packall, Kirk and Bonita relocated back to their hometown of Trinity Bonavista Bay where it was their intention to enjoy life and all it had to offer them.

Kirk was a avid hunter and enjoyed it to the fullest.  He liked spending time on the water in his boat – fishing and going to the cabin with his buddies. His love for singing, playing guitar and being surrounded by friends was only second to his love and devotion to Bonita.

Kirk and Bonita were also blessed to have 4 beautiful grandchildren -

Courtney, Jacey, Kayden & Trinity.

A person's passing should never be what defines them. It should be how their life was lived that's remembered.  He will always be remembered for his zest of life, love of the outdoors, and being surrounded by his family and friends.

We the family would like to give thanks to the Doctors and Nursing staff of Dr. Y.K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre & James Paton Memorial Hospital who took the greatest of care with our loved one.  To the Ambulance attendants for their speedy response when called upon and for transporting him safely. We would also like to say thank-you to our family member – Rev. Lorne Bungay who visited us in our time of need for prayers and spiritual guidance. A big thank-you to Brent, Tracy and Margaret of Kittiwake Funeral Home for their professionalism and thank – you to all who have reached out during this difficult time with words of comfort, visits to our home, cards & food.
