It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Center, Brookfield, Joseph Richard Goodyear age 73 years of Wesleyville.

Predeceased by his parents George and Dorothy Goodyear; sisters Barbara (Lindy), Paula and Blanche (Cecil); brothers Wilbert, Ernest, Roland (Myrtle) and Ronald; parents-in law Raymond and Sadie Howell; brother-in law Dwayne Howell.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Marilyn; daughter Wanda-Lee (Loran) of Valleyfield; sons Chris (Wanda) of Wesleyville and Jamie (Stacey) of St. John's; grandchildren Austin (Emily), Jordan (Madisan), Haley (Dylan), Andrew, Jake and Kourtney Lynn, Megan and Kasie, great-grandchildren; Elkin, Jamie, Jacob, Caleb, Noah and Kaiser, sisters Ann (Fred Chafe) of Lumsden, Mae (Peter Dackers) of Lumsden and Margaret (John Oldford) of Toronto, ON.; brother Glenn (Elaine) of Lumsden; sisters-in law Maggie Goodyear of Valleyfield and Winnie Goodyear of Bellevue; brother-in law Guy Batiste of Ontario; and a large circle of other relatives and many friends.

At Joe's request cremation will take place.

Public visitation will be held at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 1 - 4 p.m.

A service of remembrance and thanksgiving will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. with Rev. George Kean officiating.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Joe's memory may be made to the family. A decision on monetary disbursements will be made later.
