It is with great sadness we say goodbye to our precious sister, Joan. You will be missed dearly by your sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. We will always hold dear your caring and carefree personality. Your courage and strength in the face of death was a testimony to your faith.

As you have now that you have reached your destination fly high, fly free and when they see you coming, they will rise up from the sand and come running through the shallow waters reaching for your hand.

We love you, forever in our hearts.

Joan passed away peacefully at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at the age of 72 years.

She is predeceased by her parents Roland and Florence Hunt; husband Jack; brother Mack; sister Elizabeth Ann; brothers-in-law George, Jim, Martin and Bernard.

Joan leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sisters Margaret of Trinity, Geraldine of Centreville, Ann of Centreville, Jane (Gerald) of Fermuse, Gloria of Ontario, Sharon of British Columbia and Pam (Harvey) of Indian Bay; brother Harvey (Margaret) of Centreville; sister-in-law Margaret of Ontario; special niece Nadine (Todd) of Grand Falls-Windsor; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 3 – 4 p.m. (Family) & 4 – 7 p.m. (Public).

Funeral service after cremation will take place at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Badger's Quay on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Renee Easton officiating.

Inurnment at a later date.
