It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Jessie Naomi Rogers age 84 years of Trinity.
Predeceased by her second husband; Zacchaeus Rogers and her first husband; Isaac Brown, her parents; Amelia and Jacob Hunt, brothers; Stephen Hunt, James Hunt, Cator Hunt, Felix Hunt and Jacob Hunt, sisters-in-law; Melina Hunt and Ida Hunt and her nephew; Steven Hunt Jr.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons; Frank Rogers (Gloria Rogers) of Pickering, ON, Roland Rogers (Carol Rogers) of St. John's, Grant Rogers (Trudy Rogers) of Trinity, B. Bay and John Rogers (Trina Rogers) of Trinity, B. Bay, brothers; Marshall Hunt (Katherine Hynes) of Wareham, Samuel Hunt (Joyce Brown) of Gander, Percy Hunt (Rose Hunt) of Trinity, B. Bay, Arthur Hunt (Mary Hunt) of Centreville, Harry Hunt (Sondra Boyd) of Gander, Wilfred Hunt (Linda Hunt) of Labrador City and Roland Hunt (Maude Hunt) of Trinity, B. Bay, sisters; Edna Pilgrim (Donald Pilgrim) of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Myrtle Cochrane (Cecil Cochrane) of Bay Roberts, sisters-in Law; Rose Hunt of Corner Brook, Bernice Hunt of Glovertown, Ethel Hunt of Grand Falls-Windsor and Annie Hunt of Gambo, grandchildren; Derek (Shelley), Janine (Shawn), Stanley (Deanne), Laura (Jeremy), Alicia (Andrew), Hayley, Lyndon and Bradley, great-grandchildren; Derek Jr., Cassie, Caylee, Hunter and Lucas and there are also many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who were an important part of Jessie's life.
Jessie was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her home was always a place where everyone was welcomed, and she gave freely to her family, friends, and community. There was always fresh bread or a partridgeberry tart for anyone who passed through her doors. Jessie was a woman of deep faith and spent 67 years as a member of the Anglican Church Women (ACW). She will be missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in those who loved her.
Funeral service will take place on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 2 :30 at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Trinity with Rev. Daphne Parsons officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Church Cemetery, Trinity.
As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Jessie's memory to The Rogers Family. A decision on monetary disbursements will be made at a later date.
Public visitation will begin on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 3 P.M. - 5 P.M. 7 P.M. - 9 P.M. at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove.
Visitation and Funeral service will be in accordance with Covid -19 recommendations and guidelines.
