It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at Dr. Y.K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield on Friday, August 6, 2021 James Willis Kean age 59 years of Valleyfield.

Predeceased by his father Kenneth Kean.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 34 years Wanda; daughters Ashley (Cory) and Tara (Andrew); grandchildren Nathan, Brooke, Finn and Elena; mother Eileen; sisters and brothers Janice (Duke), Janet (Wilson), Sharon (Whelmore), Jerry (Bonnie), Eliza (Bruce), George, Jeff (Gloria), Greg (Sheryl); parents-in-law Sandy and Margaret; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his goat "Oreo".

Jim was a man who was 'full of life' and loved the outdoors. He was a man who always put his family first, starting each morning with one good deed at a time. He took a plot of land and made it a paradise, his paradise. A man of the woods, whether it be hunting or fishing, he always managed to create and capture the beauty and tranquility wherever he went. And most of all, a man of the sea, with a mind like a compass his direction was always true.

He will be truly missed by his family and friends.

In keeping with his famous words "Why do tomorrow what you can do today as time and tide waits for no one!"

As per Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place.

Funeral service officiated by Rev. L. Daka will take place at ' Paradise Point' on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 2 p.m. with family and close friends.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted. Any donations to the family will be presented to The Newfoundland and Labrador Down Syndrome Society.
