Passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, November 30, 2024 James Perry Gill age 49 years of Newtown.

Predeceased by his parents James Gill and Lillian (Perry) Gill; grandparents Pearce Perry and Rita (Andrews) Perry; Walter Gill and Amelia (Norris) Gill; Nan Murtle Gill; aunt Cassie (Gill) Sautter; uncles Charles Gill and Wilfred Perry.

Leaving to mourn with loving memories are his aunts Mona (Gill) Perry of St. John's, Emily (Gill) Griffith (Clifford) of Ontario, Holly (Gill) Hawthorne of Ontario and Edna (Perry) Oldford (Ford) of Paradise; uncles Pearce Perry Jr. (Audrey) of C.B.S., Paul Sautter of North Carolina, U.S.A. and John Boland (Patricia) of Newtown; special friend Shannon; many great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

Special thanks to all of Jim's health care providers at Brookfield, Gander and St. John's. Thank you to the community of Newtown and surrounding communities who supported Jim in any way.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations in Jim's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

At families request cremation has taken place.

A service of remembrance and celebration of Jim's life will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Wednesday, July 30,2025 at  2 P.M.  with Rev. Lorne Bungay officiating. Inurnment will follow at  Trinity United Cemetery, Newtown.

There will be a session of visitation  from 11:30 A.M. - 1 :30 P.M. for family and friends before the service begins . During that time there will be Tea, Coffee and food provided by the Gill Family.
