Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay, on Tuesday, Sept 13, 2016; Iona Norman age 93 years of Newtown. Predeceased by her late husband William, parents Frank and Fanny Leyte, brothers Edward and Hubert Leyte. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are daughters Betty(Stanley)Carberry and Ruth(Edward) Joy, and son Frank(Daphne), grandchildren Brian(Corrina) Carberry, Jerry(Jocelyn) Carberry; Matthew, Katherine and Michael Joy; and David(Fonda), Krista(Corey Hennessey)and Geoffrey(Angela) Norman. Also leaving to mourn nine great grand children; three great great grand children and a large circle of friends.
Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove. Funeral service will take place at 2 pm. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016 at St. Luke's Anglican Church, Newtown with Rev. Cindy Graham officiating. Interment will follow at St. Luke's Anglican cemetery, Newtown. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Luke's Anglican Church, Newtown.
