It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Dr. Y.K.Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield, Howard Kean age 79 years of Lumsden.
Howard Percy Kean was born October 29, 1940 on Cloddy Island Neck, Newfoundland to Abram and Maisie Kean. He passed away peacefully after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
Dearly beloved husband of Ruby (nee Roebotham). Loving father of Wade (Carol), Warren (Blanche), Joanne (Brian Thomson) and Fred (Denise). Dear brother of Cator (Maggie- deceased), Sam (Fronie), Margaret (Sandy Dowding), Albert (Joan), Gerald (Diane) and Paul (Judy). Cherished grandfather of Steven, Suanne, Donna, Sheena, Jennifer, Tara, Tanner and Spenser. Great-grandchildren Cohen, Cara, Elliott, Samuel, Madison, Isabelle, Evelyn, Everett, Grace, Trenton, Lydia and Ruby. Also survived by a large number of close relatives and friends.
Howard was a hard worker and provided well for his family. He spent 30 years as a school teacher; 23 of which were teaching children with special needs.
He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on October 25, 1969 and served as an elder in the Lumsden congregation.
He was known for his outstanding hospitality, his sense of humour and radiant smile. He had a love for people and his Creator, Jehovah God. Howard truly was a spiritual man who treasured sharing Bible truths with others. He loved and had a deep respect for Jehovah's creative works.
Howard looked forward to a wonderful future which God has promised at Psalms 37:29 when, "The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it."
