May 5, 1947 – June 2, 2021
Abbott, Horace Levi, age 74, of Musgrave Harbour passed away suddenly June 2nd, 2021 at the age of 74. Horace was born in Musgrave Harbour May 5th, 1947 to the late Wilfred and Emma (Mouland) Abbott.
Horace graduated from the Gander Vocational School as part of the first graduating class with the Aircraft Maintenance program in 1966. He began his career with Eastern Provincial Airways (EPA). He worked for several airlines over the course of his career, including Canadian Airlines and Canjet. He retired in 2008 from the Newfoundland Government, where he worked as an engineer on their fleet of water bombers. Horace was an avid outdoorsman who loved salmon fishing, trout fishing, and moose hunting. When he was not on the river, he would spend long hours working in his garden and getting everything just right. Mom and Dad always enjoyed their Saturday nights with Beatrice and Brian, Morley and Jean, and Margaret. He loved playing guitar and singing with family and friends.
