April 30, 1933 to January 25, 2026.

Henry (affectionately known as Rev. Harry) passed peacefully away in the presence of family at the age of 92 at the Dr.  Hugh Twomey Health Centre.

Henry was born on April 30, 1933 to Manoah and Florence Spurrell of Valleyfield.   He married Mildred Spurrell and raised five children, Glenda, Gary, Todd, Bruce and Bobbi.  Henry spent his entire life as a devout Christian and supporter of his church.  He served his fellowman for more than 50 years spanning 2 careers; a teacher and minister.  He is survived by children: Todd (Dawn), Bruce (Nancy), and Bobbi (Justin).  Grandchildren: Michael (Nicole)  Shelby, Nicholas, Robert, Lily, Eric and Anne.  Brother in Law, Isacc (Muriel).

He is predeceased in death by his wife Mildred, children: Glenda and Gary; parents: Manoah and Florence, siblings: Madeline (Gilbert), Leah (Jack),  Trixie (Robert), Gideon (Annie), Muriel (Isacc), and May (Cluney).

Visitation will take place at St. John the Baptist Anglican Ch urch, Wareham on

Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 2 P.M. - 4 P.M.  Due to weather conditions, Evening  Visitation is Cancelled

Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. & 7 P.M - 9 P.M

Funeral service will follow at 2 P.M. on Thursday, January 29, 2026 officiated by The Right Rev'd John Watton and Rector Rev. Maxine Abbott.

Interment will follow at  St.John the Baptist Anglican Church Cemetery , Wareham, NL.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Canadian Cancer society.
