It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hazel Way of Newtown on January 17, 2025 at the Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield, NL.

Hazel is predeceased by her husband - Frank; parents - Elsie May (Tucker) Vincent and John Charles Tucker; stepfather - Sandy Vincent; brothers - Wesley (Jane), Lewis, Ronald (Ida), Maitland; sisters - Annie (Eli), Daphne (John), Dora (Fred), Gwen (Alf); sisters-in-law - Joan and Rose; son-in-law - Robert Meaney.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her three daughters - Glenys, Christine (Madonna) and Jeannie (Ike); grandchildren - Michael, Pamela and Jessica; great grandchild - Matthew; brother - Stanley; stepbrothers - Howard and Gordon (Elsie); sister-in-law - Dorothy; and a large circle of nephews, nieces and friends. A special thank you to the staff of Otterbury Manor for their care and support for Mom over the past six years.

Visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 7 - 9 p.m. (Public).

Funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, Newtown on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lorne Bungay and Rev. Roberta Vincent - Bungay officiating. Interment to follow at The United Church Cemetery, Newtown.
