It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at Bonnews Lodge, Badgers Quay on Sunday, August 22, 2021, Hazel Sylvia Stokes age 75 years of Cape Freels.

Predeceased by the love of her life; Frank Stokes and daughter; Wanda, parents; Stewart And Minnie Brown, brother; Donald, sister-in-law; Ferne Brown and brother-in-law; Lynn Saunders.

Leaving to mourn with fond and cherished memories are daughter; Joanne Cross (Bill) and grandchildren; Ryan (Shannon) and Devon (Teanna) and one special great grandson; Carter, sister; Olive Saunders and brother; George Brown, sister-in- law; Elsie Petten,  brothers-in-law; Esau (Maggie), Harold (Daisy) and Wayne (Jocelyn) and a large circle of nieces and nephews and many good friends (especially her Beothic Fish plant co-workers).

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

A service of celebration and remembrance will take place on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11am from the United Church cemetery, Cape Freels with Rev. Larry Noseworthy officiating, followed by inurnment.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Cape Freels.

Funeral service will be in accordance with Covid-19 recommendations and guidelines.
