It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Dr. Y.K.Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield, Hazel Goodyear age 85 years of Lumsden.

Predeceased by her husband Seymour Angus Goodyear; parents Chesley and Ruby Gray; father and mother in-law Frederick and Ellen Goodyear; brothers Bruce and David; sisters Lorna, Joan and Catherine; grandchildren Jeanine, Mary Kate and Justin.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Goldie Walsh (Kevin), Floyd Goodyear, Colleen Kean (Wycliffe), Wasmore Goodyear (Carolyn), Ellen Blanchette, Phillip Goodyear (Trudy) and Angus Goodyear (Donna); brother Ford Gray (Bernice); grandchildren Jackie, Michelle, Clinton, Jessica, Jolene, Bradley, Andrew, Holly, Ashley, Brady, Leah; great-grandchildren Riley, Hailey, Karmine, Landon, Lucas, Alyssa, Clark and Abigal; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

At families request cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Service will take place at Kittiwake funeral home ,Pound Cove on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 2 P.M with Rev. Lorne Bungay officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Wesley United Church Cemetery, Lumsden.

There will also be an Inurnment of  her husband ; The Late Seymour Goodyear and her Granddaughter; The Late Jeanine Blanchette ( daughter of Ellen Blanchette)

There will be Refreshments  served at Ellen's home in Lumsden following the Inurnments.
