February 13, 1943 - April 3, 2024

Passed away in the comfort of his home on April 3, 2024, Harvey Pickett age 81 years of Centreville, NL.

Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Gladys Pickett, sister; Marcella (Nance) (Bill Rogers), son-in-law; Leo Blackmore, sister-in-law; Elizabeth Pickett, parents-in-law; John and Virtue Keats and sister-in-law; Amelia Collins (Reuban).

Leaving to mourn with sadness and love, his devoted wife of 62 years; Florence, his loving children; ; daughters; Sheila (Richard Hunt) , Maisie (Sheldon Burry) and Maggie, sons; Dion (Patsy Cutler) and Jody (Kim Smith), his precious grandchildren; Jessica (Dysson Defoort),, Nicholas Hunt, Devon Pickett Rogers (Ashley MtPleasant), Bobbie and George Blackwood, three beautiful great grandchildren; Adalyn, Alayna and Emma, brothers; Claude Pickett (Louise Stockley Cook), Dave Pickett (Ellen), Dean Pickett (Lorna), sisters; Jane (Harold Pickett), Brenda (Raymond Dyke) and Diane. Also leaving to mourn; an enormous circle of extended family and many friends.

Harvey worked away for many years to support his wife and  5 children. His hard work landed him a job at CFLCO, Churchill Falls from which he retired at the age of 65. He enjoyed his life with his family and many friends, he loved fishing, boating and his cabin he built on Fair Island, he also enjoyed his game of cards right up till his last day. His family are so grateful for his 81 years of life and will miss him terribly.

Special Thank You to his Home Care Workers; Pam Parsons, Hayley Oram and Neta Hunt, to the CWT Fire Department, Dr. Cutler, Hoyles Ambulance,The RCMP of Gander, The ACW of Centreville,Kittiwake Funeral Home, St. Barnabas Anglican Church and also Rev. Maxine Abbott and Eileen Oldford. We would also like to thank all those who brought food, cards, phone calls and messages. We will be forever grateful.

Visitation for Family Only will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 7 P.M. - 9 P.M.

Visitation for Public will take place on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 10 A.M -12 Noon and   2 P.M - 4 P.M

Monday, April 8, 2024 , 2 P.M - 4 P.M and 7 P.M - 9 P.M

Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 11 A.M.  at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville with Rev. Maxine Abbott officiating. Interment will follow at St. Barnabas Anglican Cemetery, Centreville.

As and expression of sympathy and In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harvey's memory to The Pickett family, they will decide at a later date on monetary disbursements.
