It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loved one on Sunday, December 17,2023 at The Health Sciences Centre, St. John's,NL, Greta Diane Perry age 72 years of Newtown, NL.

Predeceased by her mother;Alice Rideout, grandparents;Dorcas and Bishop Humphries ,Llewelyn and Hettie Rideout and step grandmother;Mabel Rideout.

Leaving to mourn with loving memories are her husband; Norman Perry, daughter; Tammy Huard (Peter) of Haileybury, ON, father; Eldon James Rideout, brothers; Clifford Rideout (Carol Ann) of Greenspond, Tony Rideout (Lily) of Newtown, Harvey Rideout (Diane)of Newtown, Walter Rideout of Newtown, Rick Rideout of Newtown, Roger Rideout of Newtown and Rodney Rideout (Trudi) of Greenspond, sister; Hettie ( Robert Granter) of Greenspond, grandson; Eli Huard, Cameron Rideout who was like a son, he will miss her beyond measure  and also a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends. Greta was a very "special aunt " to all the kids that passed through the doors of the Shop in Newtown.

Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove, NL with visitation for immediate family to begin on Tuesday, December 19,2023 at 7 P.M. - 9 P.M. and  Public visitation to begin on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. and  7 P.M. - 9 P.M

Funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 11 A.M. at Trinity United Church, Newtown with Rev. Lorne Bungay and Rev. Roberta Vincent - Bungay officiating.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Greta's memory to The Perry family, they will decide at a later date on monetary disbursements.
